"When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change"
I made a post last month about the chance of Jesse and I moving to Alaska to work for this summer but then I never followed up on it. Well, WE ARE GOING!!! After lots of thoughts, conversations and prayers, I finally decided that if it was meant to be, then everything would come together and if it wasn't meant to be, then it would be made clear. With that said, I applied for jobs up in the Cooper Landing area, where Jesse works. I applied for every job I could find open within 20 miles. The same day I applied I got an email from the Kenai Princess Lodge for an interview the following day. The interview went great and by the end she was running a background check on me before she could offer me the job. It was a house keeping job with low pay but I was more than ready to except the offer just to get up there. A day after that interview I heard from Gwin's Lodge about an office assistant position (which is so my forte). A couple days later I had a Skype interview with them and 10 minutes after the interview I had an job offer sitting in my email! It was crazy how fast everything happened and how easily it all came together. I did end up taking the office assistant job and I cannot even begin to describe the excitement I have to finally be done with my classes for this term and start our drive up there. Yes. I said drive. Jesse and I will be road tripping to get there. It's a 56 hour drive that we are turning into 5 days. Though, driving through Canada there are many things to see that we're going be passing by on our way there; we will be making a longer road trip on the way back at the end of the summer. Probably 2 weeks or so. My blog post is going to be my bestfriend while I am up in Alaska. I will be posting every adventure I go on to keep friends and family up to date :)

My heart is racing just talking writing about all these crazy fun new adventures I am about to encounter on :)
