My Mother's Birthday

Mom's Birthday!! :)

All of us went out for an adventure on this special day! Despite the weather calling for a storm with strong wind gusts, we decided to head out anyway..

Blaze, one of my favorite little pups that runs around at ARC.

And LOVES to play!

As we drove away from Cooper Landing it wasn't bad..

Then we got to Portage Valley where I was taking them to hike and though you may not be able to see it in this picture.. The wind was insane! It was a struggle just to get out of the car.

So with that being said, we ended up not hiking.

Instead we went to the National Wildlife Rescue drive through. Mostly because it was one thing you could do in the car!

We then drove to Girdwood where it cleared up and we were able to go hike a trail I had been wanting to do since I got here.

You had to use this hand tram to cross and continue on the trail. It was pretty awesome!

After hiking Winner Creek Trail I took them to the trailhead for Crow Pass because it was just up the road and had pretty views.

We found the strangest looking creature in the middle of this trail! Stopped us right in our tracks! ;)

We saw some dall sheep up on the mountain

Bird Creek Fishing.. The boys wanted to check this spot out before heading back. 

We were going to have dinner at the Double Musky Restaurant in Girdwood but they had a two hour wait time at 9pm so instead we drove back to Cooper Landing and went to Princess Lodge for dinner. Same place I had my birthday dinner at this year :)

 All in all it was a fun day spent with some of my favorite people.
