I would say I am a pretty creative person. Pinterest is one of my favorite websites ever created! With that being said, I LOVE PROJECTS!
Jesse and I are getting ready to go on another road trip. We are heading down the Pacific Coast Highway to San Diego, CA and everyone knows that is WARM weather territory, so I wanted to buy a couple new outfits. Living in Klamath Falls, there is not much for shopping and I wanted to get a maxi skirt really bad, so I went online and found that the cheapest one was around $50 not even including shipping. I was astonished! Looking at the skirt online, made me think, "That can't be too hard to make.."
My mom taught me to sew when I was little, however I hadn't touched my sewing machine in years. Probably since 7th grade!
I pulled the old machine out of my closet, dusted it off and it was as good as new! :)
I began looking online for ideas and tutorials of how to go about this exactly. This helped me become even more inspired to start sewing all different types of clothing.
I went to Joanne Fabrics to buy my fabric. All in all I spent $60 and here is what I got out of that:)
My personal favorite! ^ ♥
The maxi dress^
The Beautiful maxi skirt that started all this inspiration!
This lovely piece of clothing can be made into a swim suit cover, mini dress or shirt:)
And I still have enough fabric left to make a few headbands and a bag!
This route was SO much cheaper and fun! Plus it helped keep me sane through dead week and finals week! ♥
