My 22nd Birthday

As my birthday quickly approached this year, I was extremely sad that I would not be able to be around my friends, family or even my husband all day because he would be at work. Little did I know the plans Jesse had for me that day.

I woke up the morning of my birthday at 5am to help Jesse get ready for work like I always do. He said happy birthday to me and when I started to make his breakfast he said "No way. It's your birthday today, go sit down!" He wouldn't even let me make my coffee. At 5am even on my birthday that was not going to go over well ;) After arguing only slightly I went to the couch & waited for him. In my mind, I was thinking "he will bring me my coffee".. When he sat next to me all he had was HIS coffee & HIS breakfast! Lol. He was teasing me & then got up to go to work. When I walked him to the door he said he forgot his workout clothes & asked if I would go into our bedroom to get them. I walked in there and when I came back out he was gone but there was this card ^ sitting on the table.. :)

Thus beginning the story of how freaking perfect my husband is...

Inside the card read a bunch of cute stuff & then said
"P.S. Would you mind moving the spice rack over to the next counter? ;)"

I did as I was asked & found this yellow envelope under the spice rack.
This card said:

This cute shelf is in our entry way & hanging from it are two metal letters MJ. Of course I found the next envelope which said:

I did exactly that

When I got to my car I found the next envelope sitting on my steering wheel. Inside it had a gift card to what has become my favorite local coffee shop. This card explains why he wouldn't let me drink coffee earlier that morning ;)

My breakfast that morning consisted of a iced white mocha & a tomazo bagel with cream cheese.

When I got home I looked under Buddy's food dish & found the next envelope.

Buddy & I have a routine which consists of taking him to the dog park every morning

Waiting patiently for the treat he must have known was sitting in the trunk with the next envelope ;)

After spending a couple hours at the dog park, we drove home & found the next envelope under my desk.

This key is to our second bathroom which he had locked the night before :)

I unlocked it to find

I was speechless...

The card said "You truly are my greatest gift in life. So take this small gift as a gesture of my appreciation for you. Draw yourself a bath when you're ready, and take your time! You earned it. When you're done go check the mail at 2:30pm. P.s. If it is still early take the time to get lunch before your bath if your hungry"

PERFECT BIRTHDAY & it wasn't even noon yet!!

I went out to a sushi lunch with a new friend at Sushi Maru.

When I got back it was almost exactly 2:30 so I went straight to the mail box only to find another yellow envelope :)

With about a half hour to spare, I went to sit by the pool until my appointment.

This was where the address took me to & when I walked inside a lady looked at me and said "You must be Megan".

He had purchased a full hour massage for me to have during the last hour before he got home

He then took me into Seattle where we had an amazing seafood dinner at Blueacre Seafood.

We ended our night out staring at the Seattle Skyline

I can't even explain how incredible my day was or how thoughtful, creative & loving my husband is. I am SO HAPPY that I get to spend the rest of my life with him
