I jumped out of an airplane!

Skydiving

Here's two fun facts about myself:
1. My two biggest fears are heights and flying.
2. My doctor prescribes me xanax when I fly anywhere.

Therefore, when I called and told my mom that I wanted to go skydiving for the first time she was a little taken back. That was 2 years ago. When this took place...
2012
I can honestly say I didn't know the true meaning of fear until this day!
(And if you know my dad, that says alot;) Jk daddy!

I held that smile pretty dang well until my camera lady turned around to tell me that we would be jumping in about 2 mins as she points to her elevation watch...

The most terrifying/amazing moment in my entire life.

The landing zone

This was the most refreshing thing I have ever done in my life.
I needed this more than anything at this point in my life and I have to say there is nothing quite like jumping out of an airplane 13,000 ft. in the air, free falling belly-to-earth at approximately 120mph and then hanging from nothing but strings essentially, after the shoot is pulled. Sitting in thin air as you float to the ground is the most amazing feeling anyone could ever experience in this life.

This is what then convinced me about a year later that I needed to go again.

Getting all geared up

 WARNING
Parachuting is a high risk activity which may cause or result in serious injury or death

This picture doesn't even begin to compare to the actual feeling of standing in this spot

Supermannnnnn :)

That second time was not as scary as the first for me. It was so much fun and instead of being terrified and wondering what to expect, I enjoyed the entire time

So now should be when I walk away and count my blessings right..
Probably not:)

If I can do this once a year for the rest of my life I would be happy! Jesse and I have talked about getting certified to jump without tandems but I'm not sure if I could step out of the plane myself. I think I need that little push from the back.

Here's to round #3
2014

Oh you know, just signing my life away..
It's best to just initial and not read!

The little plane that takes us up up up to the clouds :)

Holly! One of my favorite people on this last trip :)

The staff

My tandem instructor

I can't even explain how happy it makes me that I found such a great guy who loves to go on just as crazy of adventures as I do

Somewhere in that cluster of parachutes is Jesse, myself, Holly, Grant, Dan and Erik

The whole group
30 OIT students

Until next time...

I can't say enough, I LOVE MY JOB!
