As the summer slowly comes to an end Jesse and I are still checking some things off the bucket list.
Last Wednesday Jesse had the day off so we decided to take on the 22 mile Russian River Trail.
There were so many berries all along the trail. Yummy :)
Robyn just taking a little nap at a camp spot along the trail.
I couldn't get enough of this trail! Every single part of it was beautiful.
The trail was a bit overgrown I guess you could say ;) There were some points where we all just hoped we were still on the trail. Though that makes things a little sketchy being bear country and all it made it even that much more adventurous!
Coolest looking mushrooms I have ever seen!
Jesse found two fishing reels out on the trail.. And yes, that is a bear whistle... :)
Super cute cabin along the trail. I so wish we had more time here in Alaska so we could do this trail again and stay in the cabin next time.
The Upper Russian Lake right next to the cabin. There was even a boat you could use if you stayed at the cabin.
Did I say the trail was overgrown?
Salmon Spawning
The weather was absolutely beautiful till about the last 4 miles; then it began pouring rain but was still so worth it. This might be my favorite trail yet ;)
